A grandfather aged 80 years old has been arrested in Sabatia,Vihiga County on claims of defiling her granddaughter aged 14.
The suspect identified as James Mutonya was arrested yesterday after the girl mother accompanied by a lady identified as Dinah Kamate and Mudete sub chief took the girl to Sabatia sub county hospital for medical examination.
She was examined and given treatment.
A P3 and post rape (defilement) was filled.
Later on in the evening Mutonya was arrested at his homestead at Kiseve village within Mudete and placed in custody at Mudete police station awaiting arraignment in court on Monday over allegations facing him.
