A man from Sagana town,Kirinyaga county is counting losses after he was allegedly drugged and robbed by two women who had accompanied him to his residence following a night out.
The victim, Peter Momanyi Owigo reported to police at Sagana police Station that he had been enjoying refreshments at a bar and restaurant along the Sagana–Nairobi Highway on the night of Madaraka day when he was joined by two women known to him physically.
The trio later left the entertainment spot at around 10.30 p.m. and proceeded to the complainant’s residence at Sprout Apartments in Sagana.
After preparing supper, they reportedly continued drinking before retiring to sleep.
Owigo told police that he woke up at about 9.00 a.m. yesterday and discovered that the two women had left.
He further suspected that he had been drugged after finding several valuables missing from his house.
Items reported stolen include a Samsung mobile phone valued at Sh39,000, a laptop worth Sh40,000, a DJ machine valued at Sh80,000, eight wristwatches worth Sh30,000, a CPU machine valued at Sh35,000, assorted pairs of shoes worth approximately Sh10,000, and a motor vehicle ignition key.
Police officers, led by the Officer Commanding Station (OCS) and detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), visited the scene and commenced investigations.
